WHO recently has published two new resources - the Global curriculum guide for community health workers and a step by step guide for integration of community health worker programmes in health systems. These tools can support ministries of health and their partners to strengthen their primary health care programmes by enhancing competency based education for community health workers (CHWs) and by identifying the priority actions and sequence for CHW programme integration.
