VN017 – An institution to conduct an assessment to determine prevalence of human Fascioliasis in central provinces and to provide interventions (counselling and treatment) to identified cases.

The World Health Organization (WHO) in Viet Nam is looking for an institution to:

• Determine the seroprevalence of Fasciola antibodies in residents aged 10 years and older at the selected survey sites using ELISA.
• Identify individuals with positive serological results and suspected fascioliasis, conduct appropriate clinical and parasitological assessment, and provide or facilitate treatment in accordance with relevant Ministry of Health guidance.
• Analyze and report epidemiological findings to support surveillance and updating of the fascioliasis distribution map for Central Viet Nam and the Central Highlands.
